My husband and I moved from Highland, Indiana to Sanibel Island in 1976 where we did not lock the doors of our little beach house or car or jeep, which actually did not have doors anyway. Truly, every day since has been a little bit of Paradise and we are so thankful for living here. Our children's schools & busy schedules forced us to move off of the island, but we have never stopped living on the water. We are boating, swimming, snorkeling, beaching, fishing or just relaxing on the dock whenever possible.

My real estate career came after having my own business adventures and loving them; now I just have client's homes & condos as my inventory instead of jewelry & gifts. I love the personal relationships that develop over time from being in The Forest since 1989 and of course the benefits of the referrals that come from those friendships as well.

It is a tremendous privilege and responsibility to care for people's property in their absence and have the full respect of their families as well if that time comes in their time of need.

The Forest is a community where people know one another and care for one another. Once you drive through the community on its winding roads with huge trees hanging over and flowering trees around, you will not soon forget us! Doreen Asher began her career at The Forest Real Estate in March of 2003. Being a licensed agent since 1989, she became active full time to be a part of the Forest team. Doreen is dedicated to servicing clients with a high standard, striving to make a pleasant experience for all.

Doreen, her husband John and son came to Fort Myers in 1981 relocating from Bay City, Michigan. She has been very active through the years in her church, being a sunday school teacher, AWANA director, and taught in Christian schools. Now with their three children raised, she is looking forward to spoiling grandchildren.

Born and raised in Atlantic City, New Jersey, I moved to Fort Myers in 2003 to be closer to family and to begin a new career in Real Estate. After ten years in the legal field, I needed to find “my niche” so I worked hard primarily in Vacation Rentals on Fort Myers Beach for Coldwell Banker. Then, moved on to sell homes in Cape Coral. Although new to The Forest, I have an extensive background in sales and rentals and am very much a “people person”. I find personal enjoyment in making my clients happy and will go to any lengths to do so, which is probably why I have made so many friends here in Florida.

When the opportunity came along to join the sales team here at the Forest, I was elated to make the move. Meeting David Swor and his professional team have been the best experience ever and I couldn’t have been luckier to be a part of it all.

Award winning equestrian rider and having a passion for animals, I spend most of my time on a ranch with four horses, six cats, four dogs and two birds. I am a huge animal activist and a member of the Humane Society.
